Editorial Policy
Editorial commitment
At Cuidados Femeninos we publish information about health, beauty, and relationships with a clear standard: be useful, honest, and carefully written. This policy explains how we choose sources, how we review content, and what you can expect from us.
Sources we prioritize
For health topics we prefer highly recognized organizations and references, including:
- World Health Organization (WHO)
- Mayo Clinic
- MedlinePlus (U.S. National Library of Medicine)
- American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
- Health ministries, regulatory agencies, and official clinical guidelines when they apply
We may also cite medical societies, systematic reviews, and scientific articles when they add context. We avoid basing important claims only on blogs, social media, or isolated testimonials.
How we review health information
Before publishing a health article:
- We check that main claims match at least one trusted source, and we prefer to cross-check with more than one when the topic is sensitive.
- We avoid personalized diagnosis or treatment advice. We explain general options and point out when it is better to see a professional.
- We review the tone: no alarmism and no miracle promises.
- We update content when the evidence changes or when we find an error.
We are not a medical center or a clinical team. We are an informational publication. If a topic needs specialized professional judgment, we say so clearly.
Corrections
If you find something incorrect, outdated, or confusing, please write to us from Contact. We review the report, check the sources again, and correct the article when needed. When the change is significant, we reflect it in the text or in an update note.
Independence from advertisers
Ads and affiliate links help keep the site running, but they do not buy our recommendations. If a product does not convince us or does not fit the topic, we do not promote it. Details are on the Affiliate disclosure page.
Use of tools
We use digital tools to research, organize, edit, and improve clarity. Editorial judgment, source verification, and responsibility for published content remain ours. No tool replaces human review of what we publish.
Important notice
Content on Cuidados Femeninos is informational and educational. It does not replace consultation, diagnosis, or treatment from a health professional. If you have symptoms, medical questions, pregnancy concerns, medication questions, or anything that worries you, talk with your doctor, midwife, gynecologist, or the professional who cares for you where you live.
